Ontario License Free Fishing Week

At HealthMax Physiotherapy Clinics, we’re always advising our patients to get out and get active and a great activity which exemplifies our sentiment is fishing. Fishing is great because it stimulates the mind, connects you to nature and there’s no greater adrenaline rush than reeling in a big bass. In order to fish in Ontario, residents typically must purchase both an outdoors card and conservation fishing license tag. The total cost of these cards is approximately $30.
However, from July 2nd-10th, the Province of Ontario has introduced a period of license-free fishing. That’s right, if you’re not an expert fisherman but would like to bring out the family for a day of fishing, then the beginning of July is the perfect time for this activity. During this time period, no one needs a license to fish in Ontario.
Take advantage of Ontario License-Free Fishing Week and bring the family out for a fantastic weekend of sun, relaxation, and fishing. Note, that even without an Ontario fishing license, participants must still follow the Conservation laws. To find out more about conservation laws and limits, please visit this link.
